Tevin Coleman is reuniting with his former Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan with the San Francisco 49ers. Adam Schefter broke the news of the signing just before 3pm PST. The deal is being reported as a 2-year contract worth 10 million dollars.

The soon to be 26-year-old Coleman had previously spent all 4 years of his career with the Atlanta Falcons but now heads out west to compete in a suddenly crowded 49ers backfield with UDFA breakout Matt Breida and injured 2018 free agent signee Jerrick McKinnon.

Coleman appeared in all 16 games last season and finished with 800 yards rushing as well as 32 receptions and 9 total touchdowns. Coleman will bring versatility and a familiarity with Kyle Shanahan’s scheme.
