Another sad day for the 49ers family.

Just 10 days after the passing of Dwight Clark, one of his former teammates, long-time 49ers player OL Keith Fahnhorst passed away. Fahnhorst spent his entire 14-season career with the 49ers protecting the right side of Jim Plunkett, Steve DeBerg and Joe Montana for 11 years as a starter.

Fahnhorst was part of the first two Super Bowl winning 49ers teams in 1981 and 1984. He was honored with two All-Pro selections in 1983 and 1984 and received a Pro Bowl selection in 1985. He retired in 1987 after a neck injury forced him to miss all but three starts. Fahnhorst finished his 49ers career with 160 starts in 193 games. Only Jerry Rice and Bryant Young played more games for the 49ers.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
