After being placed on the injured-reserve/NFI list for the first six weeks following a hamstring injury that occurred during training camp, Marcell Harris returned to practice on Wednesday. The former-Florida Gator was a sixth-round pick in April’s draft and will look to make a great impression on the coaching staff in the three weeks of practice before he is eligible to play in a game. Harris has experienced a notorious history of injuries, as he missed his whole senior season in college with a torn-Achilles. The 49ers need to decide by November 7th if they would like to activate him or not, adding him to the roster would help add depth to a injury-filled and struggling secondary. If the 49ers decide to not activate him, the team would have to put him on injured-reserve for the rest of year or release him.
