Cooper is coming off offseason MCL surgery, but reports indicate that he should be ready for the 49ers’ offseason program. There’s certainly some talent here, and the “prove it” nature of one-year deals suggests this isn’t a risky investment on the 49ers’ part.

Cooper has a Pro Football Focus grade of 67.0 for 2017. He was originally drafted seventh overall in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. Cooper spent last season with the Dallas Cowboys, and started the last 13 games of the season at left guard.
