The San Francisco 49ers announced on Tuesday that the team has named Dustin Little as head athletic trainer.

Little was an athlete at the university of South Dakota, where he played basketball and football. Dustin earned his bachelors degree from the University Of South Dakota and his masters degree from South Dakota State, in which later he went back to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Little is also certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He also holds a certification in Applied Functional Science.

Dustin joins the 49ers after his 5 year stint with the Denver Broncos. He spent the summer of 2013 as an intern for the team’s medical department. He then served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist in (2014-15). In (2016-17) he became the Director Of Rehabilitation/Athletic Trainer/DPT, and in 2018 he no longer served in the position of DPT, but still remained the Director Of Rehabilitation/Athletic trainer.

The search is now complete for all of the strength and conditioning team, heres to hoping that all the moves lead to a healthy 2019 and beyond.
